APPLICATION OF CALL IN IMPROVING RESULTS IN LEARNING ABILITY TO SPEAK ENGLISH FOR STUDENTS CLASS XI SMK N KUBU BANGLI IN ACADEMIC YEARS 2010/2011

Development of educational technology that are making use of media as a source of learning so many learning activities using information technology. Advances in information technology has given color and change the new paradigm in education and learning activities especially computer technology. English language learning is one of CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) in this study are intended to help vocational students class XI academic years 2010/2011 in overcoming difficulties of English speaking. studies on the application of CALL in improving learning outcomes in the ability to speak English for students class XI academic year 2010/2011 is expected to improve speaking skills and learning outcomes speaking in accordance with the provisions of minimum completeness criteria established by the school.
This study is a classroom action research this study uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The research took place at SMK N Kubu Bangli. SMK N Kubu Bangli have expertise arts programs there are dance and gamelan musical instreument player. Subjects of research that is, student class XI in academic years 2010/2011 which consisted of 21 students, 10 were male students and 11 female students from majoring in arts of dance and gambelan musical instrrument player. In the data collection instrument used four types namely, observation, interviews, documentation and testing. Data were collected through primary data generated in such a class action research interview data with teachers and students, the data value student learning outcomes, and data after the implementation of a class action and notes the observation in action.
Learning outcomes from post-test on the cycle I and cycle II shows that students are highly motivated to learn so that students can overcome their difficulties in speaking English and were able to achieve minimum completeness criteria. This method proved effective in teaching English conversation skills. By watching the video is expected that students can understand those impressions and motivated to learn and able to speak English. The efforts to improve the motivation, interest, and student learning outcomes of students in language learning and teaching has use new methods that are needed in the learning activities in English language for speaking skills because students need to be stimulated in the study and practice with CALL students are expected to be able to speak English.
