Concerned about Waste Problems, Postgraduate Unud Holds The Socialization of Source-Based Waste Management

Udayana University Postgraduate Program conducted community service activities on Sunday, November 19, 2023, located at the Penatih Village Office, East Denpasar District. The community service activity took place in the form of the socialization of Source-Based waste management, which was attended by the Head of Penatih Village, Wayan Murda S. Ag, and PKK mothers from Penatih Village.






While from the Udayana University Postgraduate Program, the Deputy Director for Academic and Planning Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, ST., MT., MEng., IPM, Asean Eng, Program Coordinator for Master of Environmental Science, Prof. Ir. Ida Ayu Astarini, M.Sc. Ph.D, Program Coordinator for Master of Sustainable Development and Finance, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gede Ustriyana, M.M, Coordinator of Information and Cooperation Management Unit, Dr. Ir. Ngurah Indra ER, ST, M.Sc., and lecturers of the study program, including Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Sutarja, ST., MS., IPM., ASEAN.Eng, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ngakan Made Anom Wiryasa, MT., IPM, Dr. Drs. I Made Sara Wijana, M.Si, and several education personnel.




The socialization activity was explained by Ni Made Utami Dwipayanti, ST., M.BEnv., PhD, as the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Research and Community Service Unit at Postgraduate Unud. The second material on waste management systems at the household level and at the village level was delivered by Dr. Ir. Yenni Ciawi. She is a lecturer in the Udayana University Civil Engineering Study Program. The socialization activities received a good response from the villagers, who enthusiastically asked several questions related to waste handling in order to reduce landfills in Penatih Village. On this occasion, the Postgraduate Program of Udayana University also handed over a large trash can that could be used by Penatih Village. (els)
