Program Overview

Academic Collaboration with a Global Perspective and Local-Wisdom Foundation

The program prepares professionals capable of advancing environmental science and supporting sustainable development.

01
Background

Double Degree Program

To prepare professionals with a global outlook grounded in local wisdom, the Master's Program in Environmental Science at the Postgraduate School of Udayana University collaborates with the Faculty of Engineering and the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Yamaguchi University through a Double Degree, or Dual Degree, Program.

The collaboration is implemented under an agreement between the two institutions, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Yamaguchi University, Japan, and Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia. The agreement was signed in early 2007.

The partnership between the two institutions covers various areas, including research and teaching. In education, the collaboration is implemented through the Shared Lecture Program and the Double Degree Program.

The technical implementation of the program is set out in a Technical Academic Agreement signed by the Director of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Yamaguchi University, and the Director of the Postgraduate School of Udayana University on 26 August 2011 at Yamaguchi University, Japan.

The implementation of the collaboration was also supported by funding from the Beasiswa Unggulan Program of the Bureau of Planning and International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, through the accelerated Double Degree initiative and the provision of merit scholarships.
