Our programs take higher education to a new level by bringing the classroom into local communities abroad. They are designed to foster knowledge and cultural exchange while paving the way for innovative, sustainable solutions for the environment and local communities.
Currently partnering with the Master's Program in Environmental Science and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Udayana University, Upskill's primary academic objective is to build a shared understanding of how essential the environment is to our existence and of our responsibility to help it recover from the damage we have caused.
We aim to raise awareness of projects developed by local communities among future scientists while encouraging students to become actively involved in advancing those projects.
Through our programs, knowledge and skills are applied directly in real-world settings where they are most needed and can create the greatest impact.
The inspiration for this new integrated semester program emerged from our long-standing engagement in Indonesia.
After working closely with our local partners in Bali for several years, we observed a growing need for proactive action to protect the environment, particularly tropical marine ecosystems.
Local communities depend on the support of experienced marine scientists who can help pave the way toward a better future.
Recognizing this need, along with demand from young academics seeking new learning experiences that can be applied directly in the field, we decided to combine both priorities by developing a study-abroad semester program in tropical biology and marine conservation focused on local projects.
As a young international team, we understand what makes a study-abroad program an exceptional and life-changing experience: in-depth learning combined with fieldwork and research that creates meaningful impact for local communities.
