Opening of the Upskill Summer Course 2025: Udayana University Postgraduate Program Encourages Global Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Education
The Udayana University Postgraduate Program opened the Upskill Summer Course 2025 with great enthusiasm, held from June 30 to July 25, 2025. This summer course was opened by Prof. Ir. Ida Ayu Astarini, M.Sc., Ph.D., as the program study of the master's in environmental science, representing the director of postgraduate program, who welcomed all course participants. On this occasion, the udayana university postgraduate program also feels honored to welcome eight international students from various prestigious universities, such as FHGR University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland), IST (Germany), University of Kent (England), and Cardiff University (England).
This summer course offers
two main programs themed "Sport and Environment" and
"Sustainable Development and Ecotourism." This program is more than
just a learning opportunity; it also reflects Udayana University’s commitment to international collaboration and
interdisciplinary education based on hands-on practice. It is hoped that
through this program, participants can gain new insights into global issues
relevant to their current lives.
The students present in Bali are expected to have an experience that is not only meaningful academically but also transformational in their lives. With diverse backgrounds and experiences, they will share knowledge and perspectives that enrich the academic community at the Udayana University Postgraduate Program. In her speech, Prof. Dayu Asta also emphasized the importance of Bali as a place rich in culture and nature, which serves as the perfect backdrop for exploring issues such as sustainability, the balance between progress and preservation, and responses to the climate crisis.
Not only students, but this event also serves as an opportunity to appreciate the hard work of the Upskill team, who have designed and promoted this program. Thanks are also extended to the academic administrators who have made significant contributions in shaping the core of this course. With the support of the lecturers, facilitators, and staff, this program is expected to run smoothly and provide valuable experiences for all participants.
The presence of international students from various parts of the world also signifies a significant step by the Udayana University Postgraduate Program in its efforts to internationalize higher education.
