Udayana University Postgraduate Program Holds First Lecture

Udayana University (Unud) through the Postgraduate Program held an Initial Student Lecture for Masters, Doctoral Programs, Professional Programs and Specialist Doctors which took place online and offline taking place at the Widya Sabha Building, Bukit Jimbaran Campus, Thursday (1/9/2022).

The Director of the Unud Postgraduate Program, Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.Sc.,Ph.D. In his report, he said, the total number of new students who took part in this inaugural lecture was 1,260 people, consisting of 190 Doctoral Study Program Levels, 661 Master's Levels, 267 Professional Levels, and 142 Specialist Doctoral Study Programs.

This inaugural lecture began by introducing all leaders at Udayana University and continued with material debriefing delivered by 5 resource persons consisting of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs with the title of Presentation on Education System at Udayana University, Chair of the Unud Senate with the title of Presentation Tips and Tricks for Successful Studying at Postgraduate , Head of USDI with the title of presentation of ICT services and information systems at Unud, Chair of JUPI with the title of Presentation on Journal and Publication Information and Head of Library with the title of Presentation on Library Information Systems including access to prestigious online journals subscribed to by Udayana University such as Science Direct.

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, MP.,IPU in his speech welcomed all new students of the Postgraduate Program at Udayana University. Currently, Udayana University has 13 faculties and 1 postgraduate, with a total of 118 Study Programs consisting of Diploma, S1, Masters Study Programs, Specialists and Doctoral Study Programs.

From the physical side, Udayana University has reorganized itself with a more beautiful appearance and face with the existence of green open spaces on the Sudirman campus, and various other facilities both at the Jimbaran Campus and at the Sudirman Campus. In the future, Udayana University will continue to improve in terms of appearance to support better academic quality in order to create a campus ecosystem that is healthy, safe, and comfortable so that it is able to produce superior graduates with competitive abilities at the global level.

He added that Udayana University places culture as a scientific paradigm which is then described in a unique scientific approach, faculty, courses, and curriculum, which allows Udayana University to become a center for developing superior, independent, and cultured human resources. Currently, approximately 30,000 students are studying at Udayana University from various regions in Indonesia and around 500-1,000 foreign students per year from various regions of the world are also studying at Udayana University. In addition to academic education programs, Unud also offers various vocational programs, short courses, internships, and other technical education.

The Vice Chancellor conveyed to all new students to be serious and complete their education on time according to the study period of each level of education. "Thank you for choosing Unud as a place to learn and let's together create a superior, independent and cultured Unud," said the Vice Chancellor.
