Visit and Socialization to Hasanuddin University (UNHAS)

Udayana University Postgraduate (PPS UNUD) carried out a Visit and Socialization to Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), Makassar, South Sulawesi on March 31, 2022. The visit was led directly by the Director, Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D. accompanied by the Deputy Director, Study Program Coordinators, Unit Coordinators, and Unud Postgraduate Staff.
The group was received by Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa., M.Sc as the Dean of the UNHAS Postgraduate School and several other unit leaders within the school. The Dean of the UNHAS Postgraduate School welcomed the arrival of the visiting group as an effort to improve the implementation of higher education, especially the foe the multidiscipline Study Programs.
"I welcome and appreciate the arrival of the Unud Postgraduate group as our guests to our campus. I am confident that there are many avenues that we can collaborate on, which are crucial for the development of both our universities," he said.

Meanwhile, the Unud Postgraduate Director expressed her gratitude to the UNHAS Postgraduate leadership for their great welcoming. “Thank you for receiving us so well. It is extraordinary that we were given the opportunity to carry out visits and socialization on the UNHAS Postgraduate campus as the first step of collaboration between our organizations," she said.
The visit and socialization activities aim to improve the quality of Unud Postgraduate study programs, as well as an effort to benchmark the achievement of the internal standards with the external comparisons in a sustainable manner. This visit and socialization are expected to provide best practice experience in overseeing the quality assurance of study programs.
"There are several things that we need to learn from UNHAS Postgraduate school, especially in the aspect of administering study programs, which in essence is the backbone of their highest national accreditation of "Unggul" and also International accreditation received. They include aspects of the curriculum, aspects of institutional structure, unit functions, and lecturer Homebase under the auspices of the Postgraduate School," Prof. Linawati explained.
The visit was also followed by a discussion on student recruitment, accreditation, and lecturer Homebase policy at UNHAS which can be adopted by Unud Postgraduate Program.
