Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Udayana University (Unud) Postgraduate Program together with the Indonesian Road Testing Association (HPJI) held a National Seminar with the theme “Road Support for Food, Energy, and Water Security” in commemoration of HPJI's 50th Golden Anniversary. The seminar aims to discuss the crucial role of road infrastructure in supporting the sustainability of the food, energy, and water sectors, which is increasingly relevant given current global challenges.

The event was also accompanied by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Udayana University Postgraduate Program and HPJI, which is expected to strengthen research cooperation in the field of road infrastructure focused on the sustainability of various vital sectors in Indonesia. This collaboration is proof of the commitment of the Unud Postgraduate Program in supporting the development of science oriented towards sustainable development.

The Deputy Director of the Udayana University Postgraduate Program, Prof. Ir. Ida Ayu Astarini, M.Sc., Ph.D, stated in her speech, "We strongly support this collaboration and hope to continue to play a role in producing research that not only solves practical problems but also prioritizes sustainability in every road development policy. This collaboration serves as a foundation for creating better solutions in facing complex development challenges."

The seminar featured various speakers who are experts in the fields of infrastructure, food, energy, and water, who discussed how sustainable road development can be an important link in supporting the resilience of these three sectors. The speakers emphasized the importance of careful planning in road development that is not only functional and efficient, but also environmentally friendly and sustainable.
