Implementation of Cooperation: PSPPI Socializes DLKr-DLKp of Nusa Penida Port

On Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Marga Room, Werdhapura Hotel, Sanur, the Udayana University (Unud) Postgraduate Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI) conducted a socialization of the Port Working Environment Area (DLKr) and the Port Interest Environment Area (DLKp) of Nusa Penida Port in accordance with the Nusa Penida Port Master Plan for the review of the Nusa Penida Port Zone and the proposed determination of the DLKr-DLKp Port.

This activity is an advanced stage of the implementation of cooperation between PSPPI Postgraduate Unud and the Nusa Penida Class II Port Management Unit Office. The DLKr-DLKp port socialization was carried out after previously holding a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on coral reef mapping in the Nusa Penida port area. In her speech, Ni Luh Putu Eka Suyasmin, SE., MM., as the Head of UPP Class II Nusa Penida Office, appreciated the consultant team from PSPPI Unud for facilitating the preparation of the Marine Space Utilization Activities Conformity (KKPRL) document. "Previously, I appreciated and thanked the consultant team from Udayana for facilitating the preparation of KKPRL documents and this socialization activity in the context of determining DLKr-DLKp Nusa Penida Port."

Motivated by Law No. 17/2008 on Shipping, which states that each port must have a port master plan that must also be equipped with DLKr-DLKp, the review and determination of DLKr-DLKp is very important to do. "In order to maintain the security and safety of shipping, it is important to establish DLKr-DLKp. In addition to that, DLKr-DLKp is also very important for port operators to obtain legal certainty in terms of port operations and utilization of space in ports both on the land side and on the water side, "said the Coordinator of PSPPI Postgraduate Unud, Dr. Ir. Ida Bagus Putu Adnyana, ST., MT., IPU ASEAN Eng.

This socialization activity is expected to help the UPP Class II Nusa Penida Office assess the work environment and port interests in the context of developing the Nusa Penida port. (bmp)
