The UNUD Postgraduate Building Hall has been packed since the morning of February 22, 2023. A total of 143 prospective graduates attended the Inauguration of Engineers and the Release of Candidates for the 114th Graduation Period I in 2023. The prospective graduates include three people from the Master of Occupational Physiology Ergonomics Study Program, three people from the Master of Environmental Science Study Program, and 137 people from the Professional Engineer Study Program.

"Today we are very happy and proud, because the inauguration of engineers and the release of prospective graduates this time is very special. In addition to breaking the record for the number of new engineers to be inaugurated, one of them is my senior and our 'mother', Prof. Ir. Rukmi Sari Hartati, who despite being 69 years old and approaching retirement, still looks young because she is always eager to learn. Always 'kepo' or curious I call it..." Said Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D, Director of Postgraduate Unud in her speech. Prof. Rukmi, as she is usually called, is one of the founders and most senior lecturers in the Electrical Engineering Study Program at Udayana University, which was established in 1984.

It was also reported that at the current inauguration of engineers and the release of prospective graduates, in terms of age, the youngest prospective graduate was 25 years old, while the oldest was 69 years old. Male prospective graduates totaled 113 people, and 30 other people were female prospective graduates. Dr. Ir. IB. Putu Adnyana, ST., MT., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., Coordinator of the Postgraduate Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI) Study Program at Udayana University, also added in his remarks, "This is clear evidence of life-long education... don't stop because of age, keep learning throughout life, and never be discouraged to develop your potential optimally." (bmp)
