UNUD Graduate School Leadership and Education Staff Coordination Meeting: Setting Directions to Improve Global Competitiveness

Denpasar, January 21, 2026 – The Postgraduate Program of Udayana University (UNUD) held a coordination meeting for leaders and educational staff to discuss strategies and directions for the future development of the institution. The event, attended by the Director of the Graduate School, Deputy Director, Program Coordinators, Unit Coordinators, and educational staff, aimed to strengthen the position of UNUD's Graduate School on the global stage and ensure that existing programs can adapt to the increasingly competitive demands of higher education.

The meeting, which was held in the main hall of UNUD Postgraduate Program, was opened by the Director of UNUD Postgraduate Program, Prof. I Nyoman Suprapta Winaya, Ph.D. In his speech, he conveyed the importance of strategic steps to bring UNUD Postgraduate Program to a higher level. “UNUD Postgraduate Program must be able to adapt to the times, not only in terms of teaching quality, but also in terms of research and academic services that lead to global excellence,” said Prof. Win.

The meeting agenda also discussed a number of important issues related to program development and improving the quality of human resources at UNUD Postgraduate Program. Program coordinators presented reports on the evaluation and achievements of their programs, as well as the challenges faced in dealing with the globalization of higher education. One of the main topics raised was strengthening international research and increasing collaboration with leading universities abroad.

In addition, this meeting also focused on developing a curriculum that is more relevant to global needs, as well as improving the quality of teaching staff through training and professional development. Unit coordinators were also given the opportunity to provide input on more efficient academic administration management to support the achievement of UNUD Postgraduate's vision.

Through constructive discussions, this coordination meeting produced several strategic recommendations to improve the quality of education and research, as well as maximize international cooperation. Going forward, UNUD Graduate School is expected to not only excel at the national level, but also contribute to the development of science on the global stage. “We want to ensure that every step taken supports our vision of making UNUD Graduate School a higher education institution that is not only excellent, but also globally competitive,” concluded Prof. Win.

The coordination meeting concluded with a joint commitment from all parties involved to continue working hard and collaborating for the advancement of UNUD Postgraduate Studies, so that it will be increasingly capable of producing competent graduates who are ready to face global challenges.
